A Simple Guide to Crazy 4 Poker

Crazy 4 Poker is a table game that can offer large payouts and provides a breath of fresh air for players looking to switch things up from the more commonly played casino games. However, the game can be confusing for beginners, especially when it comes to understanding basic strategy. This article will provide a simple guide to playing crazy 4 poker, as well as strategic tips that can help more seasoned players maximize their profits.

The game is similar to other casino table games, but differs from them in that it pits players against the dealer instead of each other. It is played with one standard 52-card deck and can have up to eight players. There are two base game betting circles and a third and fourth circle for the optional side bets of the Queens Up and Double Down. A player can choose to play or fold after making their ante and Super Bonus bets, which must be equal. The game also offers a 3x raise bet.

Once the players’ bets are established, they will receive five cards. They must then decide whether or not to play their hand, which must contain a pair of Aces or higher. If they do not have a pair of Aces or better, they must fold their hand. Those who play their hand will forfeit all of their Ante and Super Bonus bets, as well as any Queens Up side bet they have placed.

In addition to a pair of aces, a player must have four consecutive cards of the same suit to form a winning hand. Other acceptable hands include three of a kind, straight, and flush. The game made headlines in 2013 when a Hollywood Casino Columbus dealer inadvertently allowed players to make one of the game’s mandatory bets optional. As a result, some players began placing much more money than they should have, costing the venue thousands in lost revenue before table games managers caught on to the error.

While the game does not have a huge presence in Las Vegas casinos, it is offered at some of the more popular venues in the area. It is also available at a number of legalized and regulated online casinos, including those operating in Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware. In general, it is a second-tier game that is found at casinos with ample floor space and the desire to provide players with a variety of options when they visit the property.
